Garrett

Garrett grew up in Brownsburg, IN. He grew up going to church and when his family started attending Hope Community Church in Brownsburg, he gave his life to Jesus. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Garrett developed a love for theatre and music. Little did he know how God was really using those experiences and developing those passions for a purpose.

During his junior year of high school, Garrett was given the opportunity to give a short, devotional message during a Youth Service. It was during this process that he felt God calling him into vocational ministry. From there, Garrett went on to study Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies at Liberty University. Here, God honed Garrett’s passion for biblical teaching and youth ministry through his involvement in YouthQuest, a ministry that traveled the country hosting youth conferences. Garrett also spent two summers traveling with Student Life Camp, which is how he first connected with Cross Creek. Garrett interned in the student ministry here in the summer of 2018 and then was brought on as a student ministry assistant. In September 2019, Garrett became the Middle School Pastor.

Garrett lives in the Widefield area with his wife, Lauren, who he has been married to since February 2020. Garrett enjoys coffee, theology, and good books. He and his wife Lauren can often be found at a local coffee shop, reading a new book together on the weekend. If you want to get to know Garrett, just ask him his thoughts on biblical studies, Scripture being taken out of context, third wave coffee, or his favorite international soccer team, Borussia Dortmund.
