Michael

Michael grew up in a pastor’s home which allowed him to see first hand how beautiful the church can be. While he is a native of Colorado his family moved to Kansas when he was a baby, which is where he lived most of his childhood. As a senior in high school, while attending church camp, Michael felt God calling him to follow in the footsteps of his dad and pursue full-time vocational ministry.

Michael met his wife Misti during his sophomore year at Baptist Bible College. They were married in 1994 and have three amazing children. Michael graduated from BBC in 1995 and later earned his masters degree from Liberty University in 2009. In 1995 Michael and Misti began full-time ministry together. God allowed them to serve as youth pastors in three different churches over the next thirteen years. The Haleys moved to Fountain, Colorado, in July of 2008 as God called Michael to become the lead pastor at Cross Creek Church.

Michael loves all things sports, especially college basketball, and he is a diehard Kansas Jayhawks fan. Michael also enjoys hiking and going to the gym. In 2019 he was able to combine his love for the outdoors with his passion for missions by hiking the John Muir Trail while fundraising over $100,000 for MANNA worldwide through this 244 mile hike across the Sierra Mountains. Michael has authored three books and is currently working on his first children’s book.
